Role Overview:
The HSE Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment across all project sites. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting regular inspections, and providing training to employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly inspect company project sites to identify and assess potential safety, health, and environmental risks
- Create, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures, ensuring they are comprehensive and up-to-date
- Design and enforce HSE procedures specific to construction operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with regulations
- Prepare and facilitate training programs on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
- Monitor ongoing compliance with safety procedures, promptly addressing any deficiencies and implementing corrective actions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related HSE role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sectors
- Extensive understanding of HSE regulations, policies, and industry protocols
- Strong analytical abilities with a proactive approach to identifying risks and solving complex safety-related issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to conduct field inspections and carry related construction materials and equipment used for jobsite surveys and inspections
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer – administrative duties
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
Additional Requirements:
- 18 years of Age
- Able to pass a Drug Test
- Legally Eligible to Work in the US
- Open to working different shifts if needed by the project
- Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite every workday (driver's license preferred)
- Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
- Willingness to travel for project requirements, including overnight stays, to support various project sites
