We are seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our team at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital. As a Paramedic, you will respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced critical care during transport to the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Operate emergency medical vehicles and respond to calls for aid in emergent situations.
- Evaluate patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.
- Provide a variety of emergency medical treatments to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
- Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
- Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting patient valuables if necessary.
- Lift and transport patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.
- Communicate patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP) certification.
- EVOC-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree or Certificate.
HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital serving Bay County and the surrounding communities for 40 years. We offer comprehensive care, including advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women's services, and dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services.
We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Our hospital is home to the only Pediatric ER in the community and the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.
