Debt Finance Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Debt Finance Specialist to join our team in New York City.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading Am Law 100 law firm with over 500 attorneys serving clients globally. The corporate practice offers a blend of comprehensive legal expertise and practical business counseling, enabling clients to clarify goals, find solutions, and achieve results across various business transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Debt Financing Transactions:
    • Advise on senior secured lending, mezzanine financing, acquisition financing, asset-based financing, venture debt financing, and intercreditor arrangements.
    • Negotiate and draft loan agreements, security agreements, guarantees, and other related documentation.
  • Private Equity Sponsors:
    • Work with private equity sponsors from either the borrower or lender side, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while achieving business objectives.
  • Due Diligence and Risk Assessment:
    • Conduct due diligence and advise clients on potential risks and legal implications of financing transactions.
Qualifications
  • JD or LLM degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission in New York.
  • 4+ years of experience in debt finance and private equity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in debt financing transactions and private equity sponsor relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits
  • Salary range: $310,000 - $365,000.
  • Bonus eligible, providing additional compensation based on performance and firm profitability.
