We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (PRN) to join our team at Saint Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process by providing high-quality ultrasound images that assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Interact with patients to explain the procedure, obtain relevant medical history, and address any concerns or questions.
- Ensure patient comfort and privacy during the ultrasound examination and assist with positioning patients to optimize imaging.
- Operate ultrasound machines to produce real-time images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and settings to capture clear and accurate images based on the specific clinical indication or area of interest.
- Interpret ultrasound images in real-time to assess the structure, size, shape, and function of organs and tissues within the body.
- Identify any abnormalities, lesions, or pathology that may be present and communicate findings to radiologists or referring physicians.
- RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
- Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
- Proficient computer skills.
