We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the work of our Registered Nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical support to assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet.
- Review patients' dietary restrictions and preferences to ensure they receive an appropriate diet.
- Measure and record food and liquid intake, as well as urinary and fecal output.
- Observe patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention.
- Document patient behavior, complaints, and physical symptoms to nurses.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Six months of experience in a hospital, clinic, or SNF/Home Health setting as a nurse assistant, care partner, medical assistant, or student nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current California State Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
