About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at Great Expressions Dental Centers. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our experienced dental team in delivering top-notch oral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records
  • Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the state requirements outlined below:

  • Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
  • Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays)
  • Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
  • Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations
  • Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training
  • New York: Not applicable
  • Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
  • Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous dental assisting experience or relevant education
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
