Join our dedicated team at Compost Connection As a Yard Waste Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering yard waste from residential areas and loading it into specialized collection vehicles. This role requires physical stamina, as you will be lifting heavy bags and bundles throughout your shift, regardless of weather conditions, including rain, snow, extreme heat, or cold.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently transport yard waste from designated collection points to the rear-loading garbage truck.
- Work collaboratively with the driver to ensure safe and effective collection operations.
- Maintain cleanliness in collection areas by picking up any debris that may have fallen.
- Follow the driver's instructions and assist as needed during the collection process.
- Wear required safety gear and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Report any violations observed during the collection process.
- Arrive on time and ready to work each day.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks, including:
- Lifting and carrying weights of 50 to 60 pounds repeatedly.
- Entering and exiting the collection vehicle multiple times throughout the day.
- Walking or running between residential stops in close proximity to the vehicle.
Working Conditions:
Expect to work outdoors in various weather conditions, which may include extreme temperatures, rain, and wind. You may encounter hazardous materials during your duties. Proper rain gear is available for purchase through management.

Note:
All team members should come prepared with appropriate clothing, footwear, and sufficient water for the duration of their shift. Adverse weather conditions are not an acceptable reason for absence.
