**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director to join our team at Early Learning Academies. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director in the overall management and operation of our childcare centers, ensuring that we provide a high-quality, engaging, and safe learning environment for our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, as well as company policies, regarding health, safety, and licensing.
- Enrollment and Attendance Management: Conduct informative tours, build and foster parent relationships, maintain accurate attendance records, and develop strategies to address enrollment gaps.
- Staffing and Training: Ensure staffing levels align with enrollment and attendance, work with the Director to hire and train employees, and maintain accurate personnel files.
- Communications and Marketing: Prepare monthly parent newsletters, meet with parents, and assist staff with parent-teacher conferences.
- Center Financial Management and Accounting: Monitor the financial health of the center, complete and submit state assistance invoices, and process payment of invoices.
- Programming and Curriculum Development: Ensure curriculum, lesson plans, and activities are current and developmentally appropriate, and supervise all center operations in the absence of the Director.
- Food Program Management: Implement the food program in compliance with USDA regulations and CACFP, if applicable.
- Facilities and Maintenance: Answer phones, complete daily deposits and monthly billings, complete and submit punch lists for maintenance, and maintain common area decorations and bulletin boards.
Requirements:
- Education and Certification: Have completed EDU 119 plus additional EC coursework, or be willing to obtain an Associate's degree in EC/CD, and hold a current State Director Certification or be willing to achieve Director Certification.
- Experience: 2+ years' experience working with children, with classroom and office/admin experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a changing environment, knowledge and ability to work in any of the roles within the program, proactive and team-oriented attitude, excellent verbal and written communication ability, and ability to create a professional, productive, and positive environment for employees, parents, and children.
