Job Title: Coordinator for Internships, Career & Calling

Job Summary:

The Coordinator for Internships, Career & Calling will provide leadership to internship, ePortfolios, and career preparation for Simpson undergraduate students. This role will assist in managing academic support systems within Student Success, manage career software, and participate in general retention efforts within the student development division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to internship, ePortfolios, and career preparation for Simpson undergraduate students.
  • Assist in managing academic support systems within Student Success.
  • Manage career software and participate in general retention efforts within the student development division.
  • Collaborate with faculty and business partners to develop and maintain strong internship programs.
  • Direct vocation-based programming, assessment, and evaluation that supports students' access and success through transitions from prospect to alumni status.
  • Facilitate professional development for team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in internships or career guidance preferred.
  • Experience in working with college students and experience in supervision or group leadership preferred.
  • Experience in developing local business partnerships, including internships, preferred.
  • Simpson is a Hispanic-serving institution, and bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.). Experience in higher education-related software, including Colleague, Canvas, and Pharos 360, is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability and willingness to work in a team-oriented culture.

Working Conditions:

This role is an indoor position, working on a computer, and requires sitting for long periods of time.

Salary Range: $20-$25 hourly
