About the RoleThe General Surgery Med Surg Nurse PRN will be responsible for providing direct patient care to a variety of surgical patients, including those undergoing general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular procedures. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, utilizing an evidence-based approach to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the quality of patient care
- Make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and the skill of the staff
To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and have a current RN license in the state of Tennessee. You should also have experience in a medical-surgical setting and be proficient in the use of electronic medical records.
