Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled High-Purity Facilities Specialist to join our Fiber Plant Facilities Department. This role involves providing technical support in facilities management, ensuring the manufacturing of optical fiber meets quality standards and adhering to environmental regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support in facilities maintenance and equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve daily issues and ensure smooth production.
  • Comply with hazardous waste management regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Support the commissioning of new equipment and optimize existing systems for maximum efficiency.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience beneficial.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fiber optic manufacturing experience.
  • Chiller maintenance and optimization expertise.
  • Pollution control equipment knowledge.
  • Compressor maintenance and optimization skills.
  • Experience with high-purity piping and gas delivery systems.
  • Fire detection equipment familiarity.
  • Power distribution systems and UPS systems understanding.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to chemicals. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, and wear personal protective equipment as needed.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
