Position Overview:
The Regulatory Contract Attorney will play a pivotal role in supporting PJM Interconnection's objectives within the regulatory landscape. This position entails collaborating with senior legal professionals to craft, review, and implement regulatory submissions and communications that align with PJM's strategic initiatives before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis and provide legal counsel on matters pertaining to PJM's operations and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and coordinate litigation and administrative proceedings across various jurisdictions involving PJM.
- Draft, edit, and electronically file essential PJM legal documents, including tariff submissions and regulatory pleadings.
- Manage external legal counsel in the preparation of PJM filings and represent PJM in proceedings before FERC and other agencies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish PJM's legal strategies in regulatory matters.
- Offer legal guidance to various departments regarding PJM's core business functions.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support PJM's mission.
- Facilitate the review and incorporation of feedback from business clients into legal documents.
- Coordinate responses to discovery requests and manage the issuance of such requests on behalf of PJM.
- Provide representation and legal advice in regulatory compliance audits and investigations.
- Act as counsel of record for PJM in hearings and other regulatory events.
- Monitor and report on Commission decisions that may affect PJM's interests.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
