**Job Summary**
The incumbent will utilize their expertise in pharmacy and leadership skills to provide exceptional patient care and promote safe and effective medication use within Catholic Health Initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care, leadership, and communication skills to ensure the provision of coordinated and efficient pharmaceutical services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership in medication-related patient care to achieve safe and effective drug use.
- Supervise and direct the work activities of pharmacy support personnel to ensure the provision of coordinated and efficient pharmaceutical services.
- Act as a pharmaceutical expert and resource person to promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective drug utilization.
- Maintain a proper and adequate inventory of pharmaceutical supplies to ensure optimal patient care.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy and hospital policies and procedures to ensure efficient and integrated departmental function.
- Monitor and direct all drug usage within the corporation to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Improvement standards established by internal and external regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and current state and federal pharmacy laws to ensure the provision of safe, legal, and uninterrupted health care services.
- Develop and implement processes for safe handling, disposal, and packaging of pharmaceutical waste, hazardous materials, and bio-hazardous regulated medical waste.
**Qualifications**
- Graduate of Pharmacy School
- Licensed by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a hospital pharmacist required
**Pay Range**
$74.34/hour
