Child Autism Specialist Job Description

At Soar Autism Center, we strive to provide a comprehensive range of services that enhance the lives of children with autism and their families. Our interdisciplinary approach emphasizes early engagement, holistic support, and tailored developmental-behavioral programs that cater to the unique needs of each child and their family. We adhere to evidence-based, play-centered methods grounded in the Early Start Denver Model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support to children aged 2-6 in a clinic environment, guided by science-backed, naturalistic therapeutic methods.
  • Implement intervention plans crafted by expert clinicians in behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapy.
  • Collaborate with the child's healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children aged 2-6, preferably in a professional capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer and tablet literacy.
  • Reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client.
  • Preference for college graduates or individuals pursuing a college degree.

This is an entry-level role that does not require prior certification; we provide complete training for this position.
