Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team at Iron County Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical imaging and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and assist with various medical imaging procedures, including CT, PET scans, and X-rays.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and immobilization.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and ensure all equipment and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist radiologists and other healthcare professionals with patient care and imaging procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient imaging procedures and results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to accurately identify patient images.
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical imaging technologies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a radiologic technology program approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Current certification as an X-ray Technician, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Knowledge of medical imaging and anatomy.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
