Senior Analyst, Business Systems

The Senior Analyst will be joining the Performance Management team within Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), which consolidates and reports critical financial and operational information, supports internal FP&A planning teams, and provides insights to the highest levels of Executive Leadership Team.

This individual will be at the forefront of the digital revolution as we look to enhance business processes through the capability of IBM planning analytics (TM1).

Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver reliable, scalable, secure IBM planning analytics (TM1) solutions to deliver actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Accelerate forecast cycle times and alleviate cumbersome manual processes.
  • Build driver-based models and scenario planning applications.
  • Develop ETL pipelines for data flows to TM1.
  • Elicit and evaluate information gathered from various sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requests.
  • Understand how systems and processes impact requests/projects.
  • Facilitate requirement sessions with stakeholders and create a comprehensive business requirement document, including validation and traceability of requests.
  • Manage and implement tasks to accomplish User Acceptance Testing and Business Validation to ensure high levels of data availability and quality.
  • Build and deliver forecast input loaders, reports in IBM Planning Analytics, and other business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and attention to detail.

Support the existing reports (Excel, PAX, PAW, Power BI) and be responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of industry experience in Analytics and Planning, Financial modeling Data Engineer role, Data Visualization tools.
  • 2+ years of experience with languages like Python, SQL, DAX.
  • Experience working with relational or multifaceted databases.
  • Experience with EPM/BPM tools like Oracle EPM, IBM Planning Analytics (Cognos TM1) or Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy.
  • Superb communication skills and ability to clearly articulate to business and technical teams, or management in verbal, written, and/or visual form, with supporting details.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Experience in IBM planning Analytics (Cognos TM1) is a plus.
