We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Naturalist to join our team at the State of Nebraska. As a Naturalist, you will play a key role in educating the public about the natural world and promoting environmental awareness.

• Develop and deliver educational programs for park visitors and field trip groups
• Assist with planning, coordination, and delivery of education programs
• Interact with and offer interpretive programs for park visitors
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of Education Center facilities and daily animal care
• Perform customer service activities, such as answering phones and taking payments

• Experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction or historical setting, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training or experience
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license

• Knowledge of Nebraska plant and animal species, natural resources, and outdoor recreation activities
• Basic science and ecological principles
• Animal care
• Safe work procedures
• Group management
• Education principles and practices
