Job Summary

Associate Merchant - Food Preservation

At Walmart, we're looking for a skilled Associate Merchant to join our team in Bentonville, AR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy: Establish and manage category strategy to drive profitable growth and improve customer experience.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and business partners to achieve business objectives.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions about product replenishment, supply chain, manufacturers, store operations, planning, assortment, layouts, budgets, modular, and pricing.
  • Product Development: Work with our Product Development and Sourcing team to create new products for Private Brands.
  • Category Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the category, including customers, suppliers, and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office, Negotiating with third-party suppliers, Pricing, site merchandising, planning or inventory, or related area.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay: An annual salary range of $70,000.00-$130,000.00, depending on experience.
  • Performance Bonuses: Additional compensation through annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
