UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is actively seeking two dedicated full-time faculty members specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine. This position provides a unique opportunity to engage in leadership roles and contribute to clinical research initiatives.

We are looking for a physician with outstanding clinical and interpersonal abilities, committed to delivering exceptional care to our pediatric patients.
The role includes a faculty appointment with UCSF, contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and accomplishments.
Essential Qualifications:
- Eligibility for faculty appointment
- Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent
- Current medical license
- Completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care
Proficiency in both spoken and written English, along with board certifications in Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, is required.
In this capacity, the physician will manage pulmonary and critical care services for pediatric patients, participate in clinical and educational programs, and collaborate closely with UCSF Benioff. The position also involves active engagement in quality assurance, research, and organizational partnerships.
The Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician at UCSF Benioff must demonstrate independence, provide high-quality services, and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance patient outcomes.
In addition to clinical duties, the role encompasses attending various meetings, developing innovative practices, and ensuring adherence to established protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating clinical care
- Facilitating communication among healthcare professionals
- Conducting inpatient consultations
- Participating in professional evaluations
Furthermore, the role requires active participation in accreditation processes and committees, as well as contributing to the activities of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Section.
