Position Overview

Compliance Specialist Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate household certifications to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Provide training for staff on the preparation of income certifications and re-certifications.
  • Oversee and approve all move-in certifications, along with conducting quarterly reviews of annual re-certifications.
  • Track and report overdue re-certifications.
  • Identify and address compliance training and support requirements for site personnel.
  • Assist in monitoring the appropriate application of income and rent limits, as well as utility allowances.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance for affordable and Section 8 multifamily housing properties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • In-depth knowledge of Section 8 regulations.
  • Strong understanding of the IRS 8823 Guide.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to projects, demonstrating both leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with One-Site software is preferred.
