Job Summary

UPMC is seeking a highly skilled Invasive Cardiac Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing advanced imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures at an advanced level, requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Competently perform a variety of technical procedures, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in various cardiovascular specialties, including cardiology, EP, PV, Hybrid, IR, and Structural Heart.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of departmental protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal resource utilization.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist program.
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an invasive cardiac technologist.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in POC testing and ability to utilize various equipment and supplies.
