Your Role
As the Embedded Software Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of guiding and nurturing teams focused on embedded software design and testing. This position requires a blend of leadership and hands-on involvement. Key responsibilities include:
- Direct and mentor teams engaged in embedded software design and testing, including collaboration with the offshore testing team, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
- Strategically plan and execute embedded software projects, managing priorities and resource allocation effectively.
- Oversee the development of embedded software solutions for electronic systems, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and standards.
- Supervise the formulation and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies, advocating for automation and efficient defect management.
- Collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and partners to meet organizational objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and foster professional growth among team members.
- Design and implement innovative solutions, conduct engineering analyses, and address field-related challenges.
- Establish and uphold standards for embedded software design and testing methodologies.
- Develop a robust embedded software testing strategy aligned with industry best practices.
- Implement effective defect tracking systems to ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Balance managerial duties with individual contributions to projects.

- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
- Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business Management (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development with practical product design and testing (required).
- 5+ years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in embedded software development with hands-on product design and testing (required).
- 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of hardware-software integration (required).
- Experience with intricate electrical, mechanical, and software design for embedded systems (required).
- Proficient in developing product specifications and system engineering (required).
- Expertise in various testing methodologies: functional, regression, performance, usability, and security (required).
- Experience with continuous improvement in testing automation practices (required).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer focus and ability to anticipate needs.
- Capability to mentor team members and guide their development.
- Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and demonstrating a high level of integrity.
