About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Stansell Electric Company, Inc. in Nashville, TN. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing bid proposals for our pre-construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage the bid proposal process to determine scope of work for various projects
  • Provide expertise to bid-related presentations and proposals
  • Review proposal documents to determine scope of work and prepare estimates / bid proposals
  • Manage client expectations as well as subcontractor and vendor involvement throughout the proposal process
  • Assist in the successful closing of bid processes, including finalizing contract agreements, estimate turnover with operations teams, and setup of costing reports
  • Support all areas of the business related to estimates and job-costing
Requirements
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
  • Working knowledge of contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and single-lines / schematics
  • Familiarity with construction and industry practices, processes, and standards
  • Ability to recognize errors or inconsistencies with project-related costs and scope
  • Strong professional communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Accubid estimating software experience is a plus
  • Good detail, orientation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/responsibilities and changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements
