Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our physical therapy team to develop and implement treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
  • Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental impairments, in line with related standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, working closely with the physical therapy team to ensure patient goals are met.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
