About the RoleCantex is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hospice team in Dallas - Lancaster. As a Hospice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing end-of-life care to patients and their families, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, functional, psychosocial, and environmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to ensure quality and continuity of care
- Consult with patients and families regarding disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, nutrition, and dietary needs
- Provide clinical direction to Hospice Aides and LPNs/LVNs to ensure quality and continuity of service
- Prepare clinical and progress notes that demonstrate progress toward established goals
- Monitor assigned cases to ensure compliance with requirements of third-party payors
- Perform on-call responsibilities and provide on-call service to patients and families as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting, preferably in hospice care
- Nursing skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice
- Good interpersonal skills
- Specialized skills preferred in palliation and end-of-life care
- Proof of current CPR
- Reliable transportation and valid and current auto liability insurance
