Clinical Research Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at NYULMC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating cancer-related clinical research studies from planning to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the advancement of medical research.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policy changes, education sessions, and quality improvement projects.
* Collaborate with licensed clinicians to develop tracking forms for active trials and maintain them throughout the protocol lifecycle.
* Provide updates to study team members regarding changes to workflow or patient-related needs according to protocol modifications.
* Schedule participants according to the approved protocol and coordinate with ancillary service providers to ensure patient adherence.
* Prepare for study visits, including bio-specimen collection, research ticket preparation, lab and EKG orders, and scheduling of biopsies and scans.
* Act as the primary point of contact for study sponsor and subject inquiries.
* Compile and submit weekly pharmacy lists to the investigational pharmacy or CBRD as needed.
* Reconcile clinical discrepancies in data with RDAs and RCs.
* Maintain a follow-up calendar to ensure completion of survival follow-up assessments per the protocol.
* Perform EKGs and blood draws with documented training.
* Participate in pre-screening activities to identify patients eligible for clinical trials.
* Administer ancillary assessments under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
* Participate in feasibility and complexity assessments for new protocols.
* Assist patients in understanding the schedule of assessments according to the approved protocol and coordinate appointments and ancillary services.
* Document and report adverse events and concomitant medications under the supervision of the investigator.
* Write research notes in EPIC, Research Navigator, and associated databases.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 2 years of relevant experience.
* Effective oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under supervision and identify, analyze, and solve problems.
* Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a science, public health, health education, or related field.
* Professional certification, such as ACRP CCRC or SOCRA CCRP.
* 4 years of experience in research or a related field.
