Job Summary

Anderson Dahlen is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the daily work of the material coordinators in the inventory warehouse. This includes picking of parts for jobs and work orders, unloading incoming material from trucks, organizing the inventory in the warehouse per the company's ISO 9000 quality system, and maintaining the accuracy of the on-hand inventory data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials where needed, and staging the finished product at final destination.
  • Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and materials storage areas.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials in stock, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages to the Warehouse supervisor.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other machinery to move inventory around the warehouse and incoming trucks.
  • Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Liaise and support the laser, saw, and waterjet departments to ensure proper material is on hand for the day.
  • Advise departments and project personnel on inventory or inventory management-related issues.
  • Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.

Requirements
  • 6 months to 1 year of previous experience in a warehouse setting fulfilling shipping and receiving duties and responsibilities preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of Material Handler equipment.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and analyze information.
  • Knowledge of inventory control.
  • Must be a US person or PRC holder due to access to products and technology controlled under the ITAR.

  • 51-100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Push/Pull-
  • 0-25 lbs. continuously.
  • 26-100 lbs. frequently.
  • Bend- 34-66% during a 10-hour shift.
  • Twist/Turn- 34-66% during a 10-hour shift.
  • Kneel/Squat- 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
  • Sit- 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
  • Stand/Walk- 67-100% during a 10-hour shift.
  • Overhead Reaching- 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
  • Ladder/Stair Climb- 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
