Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Retail Business team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and planning support to the Retail Business team. This includes forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis to help drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and Financial Planning: Develop and maintain short-term (1 quarter), mid-term (4-8 quarters), and long-term (3-5 years) financial forecasts for the Retail Business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create P&L forecasts, including price, volume, mix, and cost.
  • Retail Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial execution and provide insights to enhance Retail Business performance. Prepare and drive operational and financial metrics to support key decision-making. Conduct deep dives on the health of the Retail Business, including revenue, volume, margin, and customer and product-level analysis.
  • Price and Contractual Programs: Influence pricing and contractual programs through data-driven analysis. Review competitive positioning, share, customer contracts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure accurate accounting of programs by comparing enabled sales pricing with pricing reported in the General Ledger. Work cross-functionally with accounting, sales, and business management to solve root causes and minimize issues.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis and Strategic Initiatives: Provide financial expertise and insight on strategic or cross-functional initiatives. Maintain and evolve revenue and margin forecasting models and/or metrics and dashboards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Master's degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of FP&A experience, preferably within the retail or technology sector.
  • Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in PowerPoint, and experience with ERP and Business Intelligence systems (PowerBI experience a plus).
  • Excellent business partnering skills and working cross-functionally to influence the business in navigating through seasonal, secular, and cyclical market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated results in improving existing controls and processes, and ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize information, structure a concise, clear presentation of findings to an executive audience, and prioritize issues as appropriate.
  • Proactive, independent, and self-driven individual with the ability to take the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
