Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Special Procedures Unit at Hospital for Special Surgery. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and advocacy, working collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care to patients and their families in an acute care setting.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain standards of professional nursing practices.
- Provide clinical consultation, assessment, and management to patients, including medication management and pain management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, updating them as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Enter orders, complete medication reconciliation, and ensure timely and accurate execution of orders.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient safety, quality of care, and patient outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current CT and NY license, registration, and certification in your area of practice (Nurse Practitioner).
- Board Certification required.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence others.
- Proactive and outstanding decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work with varied members of the medical team.
