Position Overview

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a seasonal Culinary Runner to support our operations. In this role, you will be tasked with efficiently transporting food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring prompt service.

Compensation

This position is eligible for tips, and the hourly minimum pay does not include potential earnings from gratuities.

Hourly Rate: $15.57

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-shift meetings, noting essential service information
• Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
• Assist with table-side service, including taking and delivering orders and explaining menu items to guests
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
• Ensure cleanliness and organization in both kitchen and dining areas

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience or training as a Runner or Busser in a similar dining environment preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions; may involve navigating stairs
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for setup, service, and cleanup
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for taking orders and preparing checks
