Bilingual Oncology Nurse - Part-Time
Position Overview:
- Deliver direct nursing services to designated patients.
- Operate in accordance with hospital and nursing division policies and procedures.
- Develop and document personalized care strategies that consider age-specific needs.
- Assist in conducting specialized tests and procedures, ensuring appropriate consent is secured.
- Engage in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Administer medications following the Seven Rights protocol, and document and relay clinical observations.
- Adhere to patient safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Proactively enhance patient safety by identifying opportunities for improvement in existing policies and practices.
- Ensure a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Foster professional growth and development.
- Comply with and advocate for the core principles of the Patient-Centered Medical Home or Patient-Centered Specialty Practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers certification within 30 days.
- Registered Nurse licensure in New Mexico or as permitted by reciprocal agreement.
- National certification in the specialty area is preferred.
- PALS, TNCC, and/or ENPC certifications are preferred.
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or individuals.
- Exposure to hazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
This role encompasses care assignments across various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
