Key Responsibilities:


The Heavy Tactical Vehicle Technician is accountable for performing repairs and preventative maintenance, including initial and final inspections of Heavy Tactical Equipment.

This role involves diagnosing malfunctions and executing repairs on Heavy Tactical Vehicles, as well as advising and mentoring junior staff on simpler repair and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities also include preparing equipment for storage and mobility deployment, operating and servicing towing vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and providing dispatch services for Heavy Tactical Equipment.

Additional duties include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, focusing on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and fuel components.
  • Performing servicing and maintenance to ensure vehicles operate at peak performance.
  • Inspecting, adjusting, and testing parts and systems for functionality.
  • Supervising and developing subordinate staff professionally.
  • Managing maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.
  • Planning work area layouts for optimal efficiency and safety.
  • Conducting on-the-job training for team members.

Requirements include:

  • Ability to climb Heavy Tactical Equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance procedures for Heavy Tactical Equipment.
  • Capability to pass a TIER-1 investigation and maintain a CAC.
  • Successful completion of Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with Air Brakes endorsement.
  • Active and valid Driver's License.

Education and Experience:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, along with 4+ years of experience in maintaining Heavy Tactical Equipment and ASE Certification.
