Job Summary

The Associate Relations Consultant Sr. will serve as the primary point of contact for associates and management for associate relations issues, including investigations, agency charges, employment litigation, associate complaints, performance management, coaching, development, attendance, and other issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides advice, guidance, coaching, and training to associates and managers based on policies and legal consultation, and in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Conducts investigations, including managing witness lists, determining line of questioning, analyzing credibility, researching related records as needed, and maintaining a written record of the investigation.
  • Debriefs leaders at all levels and HRBPs on findings.
  • Provides oversight of the company's internal investigations of associate complaints and serves as a liaison to Legal on associate relations matters.
  • Regularly partners with Ethics and Compliance on crossover investigations.
  • Partners with AR leadership and HRBP for requests for transition agreements related to the separation/termination process, and will regularly use persuasive and advanced communication skills to communicate with all levels of associates throughout the organization.
  • Develops and provides periodic associate relations-related analytical data and analyzes trends to determine appropriate action plans.

Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of human resources experience, or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

  • HR designation strongly preferred (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
  • Prior experience with Associate Relations and investigations strongly preferred.
  • Workday or similar HCM experience preferred.
  • ServiceNow experience preferred.
  • Fortune/large company experience preferred.

Hybrid Workforce Strategy

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
