Job Summary:
Histology Technicians perform specimen accessioning and assist with frozen sections within the Laboratory. The Histo Tech I accurately performs quality assurance, calibrations, and quality control processes. Embedding, microtome, tissue processing, and immunohistochemistry processes are all utilized in this profession.

Responsibilities:
• Perform quantitative, qualitative, and subjective lab procedures by manual and automated methods for inpatient and outpatient specimens across all disciplines of the lab.
• Embedding, microtome, tissue processing, and immunohistochemistry processes are utilized in this profession.
• Accurately perform quality assurance, calibrations, and quality control processes.

Requirements:
• ASCP certified
• Prior lab experience and knowledge
