Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Tie Technician to join our production team at voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating machines and equipment in a safe and efficient manner during the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prestressed Concrete Setup: Ensure accurate and efficient setup of prestressed concrete production templates.
  • Maintenance and Operation of Equipment: Maintain and operate hand and power tools, including saws, flipping stations, casting machines, stressing systems, utility tractors, overhead cranes, hydraulic lifts, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Production Support: Prepare and handle production templates throughout the production process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized production area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Production Scheduling: Read and follow production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Teamwork and Supervision: Work effectively in teams and with minimal supervision, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Safety and Quality: Adhere to Nortrak's Safety, Quality, and Environmental Procedures, Practices, and Policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in forklift and crane operations preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of operating hand and power tools, ability to read work orders, ITPs, blueprints, rulers, and tape measures, basic mathematical calculation skills, and experience in construction industry a plus.
  • Certifications: PCI experience or certification preferred, ACI experience or certification preferred.
