Job Description

Job Summary:

The Night Auditor is a critical member of the hotel team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk during overnight hours. This role requires a high level of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Greet guests, complete check-in/check-out procedures, and provide information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash, credit card transactions, and goods at the front desk.
  • Room Management: Organize previous shifts' paperwork, close and balance room accounts, and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Reservations: Take reservations from incoming callers, input information into the hotel management system, and update/cancel reservations as needed.
  • Reporting: Run trial balance reports and night audit to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Marriott Experience: Previous experience working with Marriott hotels is a plus.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, including property management systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Availability: Must be available to work overnights, including weekends.
