Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This role involves administering occupational therapy to patients throughout their lifespan and providing age-specific direct care services to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and plan occupational therapy treatment for patients
  • Administer occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician
  • Provide age-specific direct care services to patients
  • Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff
  • Communicate and assist in resolving problems
  • Participate in performance improvement and program growth
  • Participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs
Qualifications
  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree
  • Occupational Therapy Florida State License
  • 1-2 Years of Hand Therapist Experience Preferred
  • BLS Certification
