Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Deliver direct instruction and assistance in both inclusive and specialized settings.
  • Modify and adapt curriculum materials to cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Evaluate students' academic performance and social-emotional development, adjusting teaching methods as required.
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support personnel, and families to promote a comprehensive approach to student learning.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of student progress and IEP objectives.
  • Engage in IEP meetings and other relevant educational discussions.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.

Required Certifications:

  • Possession of either a conditional or full 282 Special Education certification.
  • Must have a Criminal History Records Check.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Special Education teaching role is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and guidelines.
  • Capability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Caseload Information:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Onsite responsibilities.
  • Middle school caseload.
  • Resource teaching role.
  • Experience in case management is essential.
