Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PC Support Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop and laptop systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient day-to-day operational support for all desktop and laptop systems, including mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Offer 7x24 support for critical issues, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction on a continual basis.
  • Develop and perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair procedures for hardware, software, and related devices and peripherals.
  • Perform software installations, updates, and distribution tasks as required.
  • Configure and activate smartphones and tablets.
  • Document all support work in a timely manner, adhering to our team's guidelines and processes.
  • Adhere to all standards for desktop, laptop, and end-user devices and software platforms utilized on our network.
  • Contribute to PC Support-related documentation as required.
  • Participate in the process for purchasing, evaluating, and tracking of PC hardware, software, and other devices and peripherals.
  • Work closely with our IS Service Desk to ensure seamless second and third-level technical support.
  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of PC, Android/iOS mobile devices, and related technologies to ensure we make informed decisions that maximize our systems investment.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within our department and throughout the company.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a tier 1 technical support position providing break/fix and desktop support services.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies.
  • Working knowledge of building and maintaining corporate desktop/laptop images.
  • Working knowledge of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or similar product.
  • Working knowledge of Android, iOS configuration in regards to email.
  • Working knowledge of VMware virtualization.
  • Solid understanding of VPN, dual-factor authentication, remote access, wireless routers, mobile devices, and firewalls.
  • Understanding of Internet technologies, including encryption, SSL, browsers, firewalls, and proxies.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016 suite.
  • Experience with Software Distribution Tools such as Big Fix or SCCM.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, and Windows networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent customer service skills related to providing desktop support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
  • Well-organized and able to resolve issues in a timely manner.
