Cybersecurity Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure

Peraton is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Federal Strategic Cyber program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Secure Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines into the software development lifecycle, monitor, and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Containerization Strategies: Implement and manage containerization strategies using OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Security Best Practices: Ensure security best practices are implemented throughout all DevOps procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and Training: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments, promote and train DevOps principles to fellow teammates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years related technical experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of containerization principles (Docker, Podman, etc.).
  • Experience with configuring and managing CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Possess an Active Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with SAFe Agile testing environments.
  • Experience using GitLab runners, OpenShift BuildConfigs, and/or OpenShift configurations that aid in continuous integration and continuous deployment models.
Salary Range:

$112,000 - $179,000.
