Job Summary

Center for Molecular Imaging & Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Pharmacist II to join our team. As a key member of our radiopharmaceutical production and research team, you will be responsible for providing pharmacy services, managing quality programs, and participating in research and development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pharmacist-in-Charge of Nuclear Pharmacy Operations: Oversee the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals for human and non-human research uses, including clinical trials.
  • Quality Program Management: Develop and implement quality control processes for radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Research and Development: Participate in the development of new radiopharmaceuticals, including the design and implementation of manufacturing processes.
  • Cyclotron Operations: Operate cyclotron equipment in compliance with protocols and good ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) radiation safety practices.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, including raw materials and finished products.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train staff members on radiopharmacy and quality program procedures.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist Degree: Must hold a Pharmacist Degree or equivalent degree.
  • Licensure: Must be eligible and able to obtain licensure in the state of Louisiana.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience and adequate experience in nuclear pharmacy.
  • Board Certification: Board Certification desirable.
