We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Baptist Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all responsibilities/duties required by the CT department to perform examinations.
- Receive and review requests for CT exams, assess patient condition, and determine proper handling and special requirements.
- Operate highly complex radiographic equipment, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality radiographs using A.L.A.R.A. standards.
- Assist in the administration and administration of various medications under the direction of a physician to make specific organs or systems more opaque.
- Assist with examination of higher complexity, such as CT-guided biopsies, needle localizations, drainages, etc.
- Explain and prepare patients for all CT procedures, set up and adjust equipment per radiologist protocol for exam, quality control all images, maintain inventory, and adhere to safety regulations.
- Participate in training of department personnel, including students, and perform work of equal skill, effort, and responsibility as directed.
- Assist in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, and perform various clerical duties.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required and Technical Diploma/Certificate Radiology Required.
- Certified Radiology Technologist Licensed Upon Hire Required and Registered Technologist (ARRT) Upon Hire Required and BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required.
- Must be available for on-call status, as needed, after normal operating hours.
