Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our Agribusiness Unit, you will be responsible for transporting food products, meat, raw and processed milk, commodities, and equipment in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport food products, meat, raw and processed milk, commodities, and equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of milk and other food products while maintaining inmate custody and public safety
  • Provide support to Agribusiness farming/crop operations on an as needed/seasonal basis
  • Maintain vehicles for transport and demonstrate ability to operate heavy duty trucks
  • Demonstrate skill in customer service and teamwork, as well as general knowledge of farming and agricultural production
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A)
  • Tanker endorsement and milk handler's permit, or ability to obtain both within 60 days of hiring
