Key Responsibilities:- Perform CAT scanning procedures with minimal supervision, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Position and transfer patients safely and efficiently, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the procedure.
- Operate CT equipment and format images, utilizing technical expertise to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare CT rooms, equipment, supplies, medication, and contrast media, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Transport patients and assist with equipment during procedures, demonstrating a commitment to patient care and safety.
- Report any unusual occurrences, providing accurate and timely information to ensure seamless patient care.
- Practice sterile technique, adhering to strict protocols to prevent infection and maintain a safe working environment.
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R).
- Texas Medical Board Certification in Medical Radiologic Technology upon hire.
- Must obtain CT registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Documentation of CT training and experience.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding of radiation safety.
