Diesel Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Quantix Supply Chain Solutions. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day equipment maintenance on our company equipment, including preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs on tractors and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions
  • Perform P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met
  • Assist with road service calls during emergency breakdowns
  • Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage
Requirements:
  • Valid and unrestricted Driver's license
  • Must have a Toolbox
  • Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred. ASE certification preferred Diesel
  • Minimum of 1 year of Technician experience preferred with Class 8 Tractor & Trailer
  • New and Recent Diesel Mechanics are welcome. Must have graduated from an Accredited Diesel Mechanic program

Physical Requirements:

The ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds. Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to inspect and/or wash vehicles.
