About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist Student to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist Student, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform medical imaging examinations under the supervision of assigned staff technologists, training and learning to perform medical imaging procedures and patient care.
  • Renders appropriate care specific to patient's age and ensures understanding and comfort level of treatment.
  • Performs routine radiographic examinations, calculating and selecting proper technical factors, positioning, and film markings based on patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology.
  • Processes radiographic images and evaluates them for technical quality, preparing radiographs for interpretation by Radiologist.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion, complying with infection control regulations and presenting a professional look to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Current student of an approved nationally accredited medical imaging program in the modality of practice with anticipated graduation within six months of hire.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist current and valid temporary license in the state of Nebraska.
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for the imaging discipline of practice upon graduation within 180 Days.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
