The Role:

As an R&D Engineer for Advanced Materials, you will be part of a global leader in the manufacture of spun yarns and cosmetic cotton products. The company is committed to ongoing research and development into polymer science.

You will work on exciting projects to develop new materials and technologies for the company. The role focuses on researching advanced materials and driving technological advancements to support the company's growth in material science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business objectives and initiatives by developing technologies for polypropylene markets.
  • Execute trials and work with the sales team and customers to commercialize efforts.
  • Develop and support innovation across all company divisions.
  • Prepare timely and well-communicated updates and reports for project and task assignments.
  • Design and plan research trials, using established systems to plan and record data, analyze data and hypothesize for experimentation.
  • Collaborate with technical team members of collaborating companies and manage R&D trials with manufacturers.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience in the man-made fiber, polymer, or chemical industry.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and manage them while collaborating effectively with multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and customers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Minimum BS in Chemistry, Mechanical, or Textile Engineering.
