Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Service Assistant to join our team at Axess Family Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and stimulating environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the efficient running of the facility and its therapeutic programming.
  • Answer phones, direct inbound calls, and take messages.
  • Keep the front office organized and maintain a list of office and facility supplies.
  • Conduct regular fire drills and check fire extinguishers monthly.
  • Prepare rooms for incoming residents and maintain medication logs.
  • Process donations, complete check requests, and prepare meals for residents as needed.
  • Track therapeutic attendance, complete contact summaries, and address potential client inquiries.
  • Accompany residents to appointments and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Provide support to ensure residents experience an improved quality of life.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Requirements
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Experience working in crisis intervention preferred.
