Job SummaryThe LPN will provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN. This includes assisting with procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed. The LPN will also perform lab and procedural tests within their scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Assist with procedures, such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and vital sign monitoring.
- Perform lab and procedural tests, such as urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, and ECGs.
- Document patient care in the medical record, including medication administration, vital signs, and lab results.
- Collaborate with the RN and other members of the care team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Virginia.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
