Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and highly motivated RN to work as a PCU Travel Nurse in Newton, MA. As a critical care travel nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care, including stabilizing critical cardiac patients
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays
- Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
You must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds. Additionally, you must possess good stress coping skills and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Requirements- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of acute care experience
